2017 Diary

Welcome again to another month.
February is here and I am first up on the Memory Maze
blog. I bought myself a boring black diary for this year with the intentions of decorating it.
Turning it into something beautiful

Firstly I painted around the edges of my diary with some white gesso.
I had to give it two coats to cover the black.

I had some scraps from a Kaisercraft range left sitting on my desk.
I covered the back, front and spine with the paper using matt medium as
I knoew I wanted to use media on the front.
Then I took some more scraps and collectables from the same range
and placed them on top of each other
until I was happy with them. Stick these down as well then I curled the edges.
I used some light molding paste and a circle mask
Placing this all over the front of the book.
I sprayed the three colours letting them dry between coats.
I stamped the background using archival black ink and a script stamp also went around the sides

I painted my chipboard with white gesso and then used embossing powder
to emboss them.
